Are you a law student or graduate?

How can you help?

You can get involved with the us in a number of ways:

   1.    Bar in the Community

Find opportunities here to use your skills in a different way. We have charities looking for trustees and more.

Want to know more? Click here.

   2.    Raise money for us

The Unit is run entirely by donation alongside core funding from the Bar Council and Inns of Court. You could join in on one of our events or raise money in any number of ways. We have also recently launched a new competition with a brilliant prize. For more information please see here

   3.    Find out what is going on through LawWorks/your university

          For more information see here

   4.    Volunteer at the Unit

The Bar Pro Bono Unit has limited capacity to take on volunteers, however, we do sometimes advertise regular volunteer positions. These are administrative roles within the office and do not involve legal work. Click here to see which roles are currently available.

The Unit also take on ad hoc volunteers from time to time to complete particular projects. These include:

          • Updating the Unit's contact database
          • Large mail-outs
          • Inputting data

To be informed of any regular or a hoc volunteer opportunities that come up please contact us with your name and contact email address which we will add to our database. Our volunteer co-ordinator will then contact you when the next opportunity arises.

Please note: All voluntary positions involve attendance at our office in central London during office hours. It is very rare for us to be able to provide the opportunity to work from us out of hours or at weekends.
