Adullam is a specialist Housing Association that provides good quality residential accommodation and support for vulnerable people from the Midlands through Merseyside to the North West
 
They are a not for profit organisation with 38 years of experience, and their support services are based on Christian beliefs and values.

The Association has over 756 units of accommodation and provides support to more than 1000 clients. They currently employ approximately 160 full and part-time staff in projects, their turnover is circa £10m per annum.
 
Adullam provides life skills training, support and assistance to vulnerable people to move to independent living. Some of the vulnerable groups they support include;
 
  • Young people leaving care
  • Vulnerable women or men with dependant children
  • Victims of domestic violence
  • Single homeless people
  • People with mental health support needs
  • People with learning difficulties 
  • People living with HIV
  • Those who suffer from alcohol and drug misuse
  • Offenders and those at risk of offending
  • Single women who are pregnant or have children
 
What skills are they looking for?
They are looking for a new board member due to the retirement of an existing member. Ideally, they are looking for a person with a legal background and/or one or more of the following skills/experience:
 
·         Financial Management
·         General Management
·         Marketing
·         Property Management
·         Diversity or Equal Opportunities expertise
·         Good communication and presentation skills
·         An understanding of social housing

How often are meetings held?
Bi-monthly
 
When and where are the meetings? 
Meetings are held in the evenings, normally at West Bromwich in the Midlands, but occasionally at Keele University.
