DVIRP provide support to children and young people aged 7-16 who have suffered or witnessed Domestic Violence in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.
DVIRP provide a telephone support service staffed by trained male & female workers
DVIRP also offer support to perpetrators and their families.
DVIRP offers support in Punjabi, Hindi, Gujarati and Urdu
DVIRP have Domestic Violence workers who support members of the Black and Minority Ethnic community who are experiencing Domestic Violence. The project officers provide face-to-face confidential support, advocacy and information. The project officers are
fluent in many languages.
DVIRP aims to increase the awareness of Domestic Violence and abuse. They are working towards the goal of reducing the incidences of Domestic Violence and abuse in Leicester and Leicestershire.
- A listening ear
- Service to organisations needing advice on Domestic Violence (call the helpline to access)
- Safety planning
- Risk Assessments
- Educational preventative work in schools.
Every 6 weeks.
Meetings are held on Mondays from 6:00 - 8:00pm in Leicester.
