Henshaws is a charitable organisation which gives expert care, advice and training to anyone affected by sight loss, right where it's needed most. It also works with people with learning and physical disabilities. And because this affects family, friends and colleagues, it works with them too.
It works in the north of England, with centres and communities in Greater Manchester, Merseyside, Newcastle, Harrogate and Knaresborough.
Each of Henshaws' centres offers different services and programmes - but they all have a common goal: to enable the people who use the services to live an independent and fulfilling life.
General experience of volunteer committee work, Solicitor, Councillor and/or someone who has experience of being a Chairperson.
There should also be an interest in visual impairment.
