HALOW (Birmingham)

 

Who is this organisation?

HALOW runs visitor centres in partnership with four prisons in the West Midlands; HMPs Birmingham, Brinsford, Featherstone & Stafford. Their aim is to support families of prisoners' by providing a welcoming environment, and offering advice, support & information on the visiting experience. In addition they provide information on a range of issues which affect the families of prisoners. A number of other activities take place in the centres which are of relevance.

What skills are they looking for?

A treasurer to oversee finances;

A fundraiser;

Somebody with a knowledge of health and safety issues

A person who has an interest in Charity Law and the Prison Service

Bi-monthly.

When and where are the meetings?

Meetings are held in Birmingham in the evening.
