Opportunity Housing Trust (OHT) is a non-profit making organisation, which aims to empower people with learning disabilities to lead valued lives as participating members of the local community. They have been supporting adults with learning disabilities within their own homes across South & West Wales since 1985.
Experience and skills in the following areas:
They need people to help Opportunity Housing Trust achieve its mission and ensure the organisation is effectively managed. Their Board of Trustees are responsible for the strategic direction of the organisation, the legal compliance and overseeing financial matters. Applicants must be willing to be actively involved in shaping OHT’s future and able to attend at least 1 meeting every quarter. As well as devoting the necessary time, you will have the strategic vision, independent judgement, an ability to think creatively and a willingness to speak your mind.
They are particularly keen to achieve a more diverse Board of Trustees and they welcome applications from all sections of the community. A CRB is required for this post.
Afternoon meetings are usually held after 5 pm in Cardiff and occasionally Bridgend
