Who is this organisation?

Medsin UK is a student global health charity created in 1996 with branches at Universities across the UK, working to create a fair and just world, in which equity in health is a reality for all. Members work through education, advocacy and community action to tackle health inequalities and effect social and political change on local, national and global levels.

Recent work includes advocacy on climate change and health; international collaboration on projects for refugees and asylum seekers, lobbying on access to UK healthcare services for vulnerable migrants, and highly reputable global health conferences each attracting 300-400 students.

What skills are they looking for?

Trustees from a wide range of backgrounds who share a strong commitment to the vision and a willingness to work collaboratively to help Medsin deliver its strategic aims and objectives.

Ideally you will have professional skills that you can call on to inform the strategic direction of the charity. Some experience of global health, advocacy, legal and community development will be advantageous.
