Old Kiln Museum Trust

The Old Kiln Museum Trust was formed to administer and develop the country life museum now known as the Rural Life Centre. The collection, of some 40,000 artefacts, encompasses all aspects of rural life from agriculture, through village trades and domestic dwellings and crafts. It covers the period 1750 to 1960 and is housed in some 30 buildings, both purpose built and re-constructed, on a ten acre site. The museum is open year round and has an extensive programme of annual events.
