Peckham ShedPeckham Shed is a Theatre company with a difference. They run inspiring theatre workshops for children and young people aged 5 – 16 years old, living in and around South East London. They are open to anyone and everyone whatever their background or ability and promote a safe and supportive space where everyone can achieve. Peckham Shed is like one big family joined by one big idea – that the creativity of every person is unique, positive and worth celebrating.
They are supported by a fantastic group of volunteers who come together each week to support our participants. Due to the range of disabilities and access needs represented in our groups we require a large group of volunteers to enable one on one time and support for those who need it.
They are always looking to diversify the skills set represented within our board to best support the work of Peckham Shed. Our board are joined in their passion for inclusive theatre work, for offering young people positive opportunities to shine and breaking down barriers to young people who for various reasons may find themselves excluded in society. Our board is made up of positive and committed individuals who are invested in securing and growing our small charity.

Type of Volunteer Role
Peckham Shed are moving to becoming a company and as such would find experienced professional advice and support invaluable during that process. We are also looking to replace our secretary so administrative and organisation/people management skills are desirable.
A key objective for Peckham Shed is to raise its profile through advocacy to the Council and key corporate bodies who can support us in a range of ways. Experience in making contact and managing these relationships would be extremely useful.
