Welsh Cycling is the official governing body for the sport in Wales. We seek to develop cycling at youth level in order to produce the champions of the future and to grow the sport as a whole. We rely on grant funding and the goodwill of volunteers to deliver cycling programmes and events, but with a string of successes at national and international levels, participating in Welsh Cycling will be an exciting prospect over the coming years.
What skills are they looking for?
Whilst an interest in sports development would be beneficial, Welsh Cycling is primarily looking for directors with professional skills such as legal knowledge (specifically company and employment law) or experience of marketing, finance or human resources.
How often are meetings held?
Approximately 8 per annum plus commissions.
When and where are the meetings?
Meetings are usually held on weekday evenings and, occasionally, on weekends. Meetings are held in Cardiff and by video conference to other areas of Wales.
