About
The Wiltshire Historic Churches Trust was founded in 1954 and in the last ten years has assisted nearly 200 churches and chapels with grants of £345,000 for fabric repairs and structural maintenance. It is a non-denominational body and is able to fund non-conformist chapels and Roman Catholic churches as well as Anglican churches.
Their aims are:
Preservation, repair, maintenance, improvement, upkeep, beautification and reconstruction of churches in Wiltshire and of monuments, fittings, fixtures, stained glass, furniture, ornaments and chattels in such churches and of the churchyard belonging to any of such churches.
Type of Volunteer Role
What skills are they looking for?
He/she should have a strong connection to and understanding of the county of Wiltshire, be well connected with senior levels of administration, the church and other charities, and possess relentless energy and determination.
Also chairing Trustees meetings, presiding at presentation evening, ability to relate to people in a wide range of social situations.

Meetings are usually held in the afternoon/evening in Devizes, Wiltshire.
