Fundraising and Communications Assistant

 

An opportunity exists for an organised, creative and motivated individual to join the fundraising and communications team, helping to deliver exciting events, thanking and engaging our donors, administering our trustee recruitment sister charity, Bar in the Community, and helping to shape and deliver our case studies and communications content.

 

Fundraising or events experience, communication skills and scrupulous attention to detail are a must as you will liaise with barristers, sponsors and stakeholders on a daily basis. You will report to the Head of Fundraising and Communications and work closely alongside the dedicated and friendly Unit team, and our panel of almost 3,800 volunteer barristers. This opportunity is for someone with a recent track record of supporting event management and/or fundraising.

 

This is a part time role working 3 days per week for six months.

Fundraising Volunteer

 

We are currently recruiting a Fundraising Volunteer to support the annual Law School Challenge.

The Law School Challenge is an annual fundraising project where law schools and law students raise funds to support the vital work of the Bar Pro Bono Unit and LawWorks. Every law school’s contribution makes a difference – but it is also a competition to see who can raise the most!

 

The Fundraising Volunteer will volunteer two days a week, 4th September - 15th December and will be able to spend their time on the following tasks:

  • Plan and promote the Law School Challenge
  • Recruit Law School Challenge teams from across the country
  • Motivate Law School Challenge teams using email, phone and a variety of social media channels
  • Help produce and send out fundraising resources to assist Law School Challenge teams

The deadline for applications is midnight on 27th August 2017.

The Bar Pro Bono Unit is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to volunteer as Academic Year Casework Interns in the National Pro Bono Centre on Chancery Lane, London.
